Basic Bathrooms

We understand that most people don’t have the budget for a Mercedes Benz bathroom and sometimes you are just looking for a simple renovation. We cater to all budgets from the premium and expensive to the basic and lower cost bathrooms.

Keeping a bathroom basic can be achieved in a number of ways. This includes sticking with your original layout, using basic tiles, using lower cost fixtures and simple cabinetry.

Sticking with your original layout is one of the primary components of a basic bathroom. This means keeping a built-in bath where it was originally located, keeping the vanity where it was originally located and keeping a shower where it was originally located. Of course, some of our favourite renovations and our most dramatic transformations involve layout changes; but at the end of the day, everything has to fit within your budget. That’s not to say that a bathroom which keeps its original layout can’t also look spectacular after a renovation and we have many examples of those too.

Fixtures are obviously an essential element of any bathroom; and include taps, spouts, basins, toilets, showers, baths and waste. They are also another area which can be utilised to achieve a more basic bathroom as their prices can vary considerably from cheap models to the premium models. It is important to note, however, that high quality fixtures are more likely to stand the test of time.

As discussed in Bathroom Fix-Ups, Ark bathrooms also has a high percentage of clients who are just wanting to replace simple fixtures without completely renovating their bathroom. This can include replacing toilet suites, shower screens, tapware, vanities & many other bathroom accessories without disturbing waterproofing or tiling.
